One man is due to appear in Tauranga District Court today following an armed callout in Te Puke.

Police were called to an address on Dunlop Road following reports of a family harm incident last night.

A photographer, who was at the scene last night, says police had blocked off both ends of Dunlop Road.

Following the operation, a police spokesperson says a 52-year-old man is due to appear in the Tauranga District Court today.

'He has been charged with threatening to kill/do grievous bodily harm.”
