One person has been arrested following a ram raid at a commercial premises over the weekend.
Police received a report from someone who witnessed a vehicle crashing into a commercial premises on Arawa St, in Matamata, around 5.50pm on Friday.
"The vehicle then decamped. There were no reports of injuries or anything stolen.
"Police arrived and conducted enquiries."
The offender was located nearby a short while later and one person has been taken into custody.

Great way to self isolate

At least we know this person will now adhere to the self isolation rules. Maybe the offender thought this was an essential trip.
