A youth is facing driving related charges following a police pursuit in Te Puke.

Police attempted to stop a vehicle on Boucher Ave at 3.10am.

A police spokesperson says police attempted to stop the vehicle 'due to the manner of driving”.

'The vehicle headed west toward Tauranga, before being spiked on Te Puke Highway in Papamoa and coming to a stop.

'A youth was arrested and will be referred to Youth Aid.”
