Reports are coming in of armed police in Matapihi this morning.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline number says the armed offenders squad have blocked off Matapihi Road.
"There are a lot of them."
Another SunLive reader messaged us on Facebook asking why there are armed police in Matapihi.
"Police are executing a routine search warrant in relation to an ongoing investigation," says a police spokesperson.
