Two French filmmakers have released a video to the world following the journey of Rena volunteers.
Romain Lesiuk and Yann Hilaire travelled from France to Tauranga to film and document the story of the 8000 volunteer who helped clean-up after the Rena oil spill.
The pair have since released the video footage, which includes a montage of photos taken during the clean-up, on Youtube.
On Friday, a team of 16 Svitzer salvors boarded the Rena to assess the damage which resulted from Wednesday night's heavy weather.
Maritime New Zealand says initial assessments confirmed there was no significant change to the state of the wreck.>
