A 19-year-old man arrested following a series of incidents in the Western Bay of Plenty last week, is yet to enter a plea on firearms charges.
He appeared in Tauranga District Court today charged with unlawful possession of a pistol.
Name suppression is continued for the defendant.
The accused was arrested alongside a 23-year-old man last week.
'The two men were arrested following a series of incidents involving firearms and damage to property in Western Bay of Plenty," says Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner.
"Police are speaking to a number of witnesses in relation to these events.”
Both men will reappear in court on February 13.
