One person is in police custody following a pursuit through Tauranga.
The chase started around 2am when a driver failed to stop for police on Courtney Road.
A police spokesperson says police followed for a short time before abandoning the pursuit.
'The vehicle was then spiked.
'One person is in custody.”
Police are continuing to make enquiries in relation to the incident.
