Woman charged following Tauranga stabbing

A woman is facing one charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after a stabbing in Tauranga.

Emergency services were called to an assault at a property on Bellevue Road around 11.50am on Monday.

Witnesses to the incident say they say blood all down the driveway and on the fence.

'A woman was placed in handcuffs, while a man was taken away by ambulance.”

A Bay of Plenty District Health Board spokesperson says the 26-year-old man remains is in a stable condition in Tauranga Hospital.

A police spokesperson says a 24-year-old woman has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in relation to the incident.

'She is due to appear in Tauranga District Court on July 30.”
