Cash stolen in Tauranga bus robbery

Enquires are ongoing following a bus robbery that took place in Welcome Bay on Monday night.

Police were called to a report of a robbery of a bus at around 8.30pm.

A police spokesperson says the offender threatened the bus driver while on Osprey Road.

'They took off with around $20 cash.

'Enquiries are ongoing to locate the offender.”

If anyone has any information regarding the robbery, they are urged to contact their local police station, or call the new non-emergency number 105.
