Police report that a man entered a downtown Tauranga dairy on Saturday evening demanding money.
The man went into the dairy on Willow Street around 6.30pm.
"The offender's face was covered," says a Police spokesperson. "He was wearing a brown tee-shirt and was carrying a small knife."
Police say that the man left the store on a pushbike empty handed, and that no injuries were reported.
