Man dumped on roadside after alleged BOP abduction

Forensic examinations are being carried out as the investigation continues into an alleged abduction in the Bay of Plenty.

The abduction is alleged to have occurred on Monday morning at around 9am in Paengaroa.

A police spokesperson says the victim was approached by two men in his home.

'The men drove off, later dropping the victim off on the side of the road.

'The man was uninjured.

'Bay of Plenty Police are conducting a number of enquiries including forensic examinations.”

Police were first notified about the alleged abduction at 1.30pm on Monday.

If anyone has any information in regards to the alleged abduction they are urged to contact their local police station.
