Easter fun in Te Puke

The New World Te Puke Easter Trail is coming to Te Puke on April 17 for kids big and small.

Epic Te Puke's Rebecca Larsen says it's a family fun day for everyone.

'The trail incorporates the whole town – people start at the library where they will pick up a questionnaire sheet and they have to go around and answer questions.

'The shops participating in the trail are decorating their shop windows all Easter-y so there will be some festive things to look at along the way,” says Rebecca.

The trail will take walkers through the heritage walkway and across Jubilee Park where there will be fun activities for children to participate, including real bunnies in a petting zoo.

The trail ends at New World where the Easter Bunny will be waiting to rewards kids that completed the questionnaire.

'Every child that completes the questionnaire will receive an egg at the end and can take a photo with the Easter bunny in a photo opportunity setup,” says Rebecca.

Rebecca says people who come dressed up may be in to win spot prizes, and those who share their Easter bunny photo on the Epic Te Puke Facebook page could be in to win, too.

And Rebecca says people will need to be careful as the road will not be shut down for the event.

'We'd also like people to be careful when crossing the road – we will have traffic management in place but that's just to control the traffic flow.”

And please make sure you bring your own pen!
