Campervan destroyed by fire in Thames

One holidaymaker is looking for alternative accommodation after a fire razed their campervan overnight.

The Thames Volunteer Fire Brigade was called to a campervan fire at Rhodes Park at 2.57am.

A post on the fire brigade’s Facebook page says the camper was completely destroyed,

“The sole occupant luckily escaped and was checked over by a St John ambulance crew.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
