Auckland bomb team called to Te Puke property

The New Zealand Defence Force bomb team is heading to Te Puke this evening.

Police were called around 4.15pm, when a member of the public found an item at a property on Dunlop Road.

"It was determined the item needed careful disposal so the NZ Defence Force was notified," says a police spokesperson.
"Their specialist team is on the way to the scene from Auckland."
