Updated 4.30pm - Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash involving a van and a bus.

A police mediaspokesperson says the crash happened at the intersection of Cameron Road and 20th Ave.

"This was reported at about 2.50pm.

"The bus had no passengers and no cars were blocking the road at the time of the crash.

"Two patients have been transported to hospital by ambulance."

Reports are emerging of a crash involving a van and a bus on Cameron Road this afternoon.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash appears to have happened near 19th Ave.

"The van is blocking a lane," says the caller.

"Police and ambulance are at the scene."
