Alleged stolen car lands three teens in court

Three female teenagers are set to appear in Tauranga Youth Court today after allegedly crashing a stolen car on Cameron Road in the early hours of this morning.

Police have confirmed that the three teens were picked up by a man in Greerton at around 1.30am after they 'appeared to be distressed”.

A police spokesperson says they were taken to Mount Maunganui, where they allegedly assaulted the driver of the car, who suffered minor injuries.

'The vehicle was then located driving through the city,” says the spokesperson.

'The driver failed to stop for police and crashed into a show home on Cameron Road.”

'No one was injured.”

A wall of the show home was reportedly damaged, as was the car.

Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested and are due to appear in the Tauranga Youth Court today.

why arn't the parents of these imberciles being prosecuted. especially at that hour of the morning. they are obviously not teaching there kids right from wrong
