I am an octogenarian great-grandmother. I watched on TV a 1080 protest at parliament, then a segment on The Nation, which was very scientific, but gave no answer to my questions.

How many countries in the world use 1080? If none, why not? They must have predators to the native species. How many years has DOC been using 1080 – 10, 20, 30?

Doctors, nurses, teachers, police, etc. all have to write reports and keep records. Over the years of 1080 drops DOC must have a record of numbers killed i.e. details of all species.

As 1080 kills animals it must be a poison and if dropped on forests year after year it could be cumulative. They say it is water soluble, so does it go into our waterways?
