Two people have suffered burns after a house fire in Waihi.
Firefighters were called to a house fire on Tauranga Road just after 12am.
Northern fire communications shift manager Craig Dally says when crews arrived at the scene the house was 'well ablaze”.
Craig says three people managed to escape the fire.
Two people were treated for burns by St John Paramedics at the scene of the fire.
A fire safety investigator has been called in to investigate the cause of the blaze.
