State Highway 2 Matata and State Highway 2 Waimana Gorge are now open but extra care is still needed.
Both roads were closed earlier today following flooding and multiple slips on the highway.
NZTA says only one lane is open at both sites so people should continue to drive to the conditions and expect delays.
