Police have released the name of the person who died following a crash near Te Puke.
Halayna Chrystie Lee Pare Wagstaff died in a single-vehicle crash at Waiari Bridge on Te Puke Highway shortly before 10pm on Saturday.
Police say the 17-year-old was from Tauranga.
'Police extend our sympathies to her family and friends,” says a police spokesperson.
'The Police Serious Crash Unit investigation continues.”
