The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter carried out back-to-back transfers on Friday from Tauranga Hospital.
The first was at 2.30pm, for a 71-year-old man with and serious cardiac condition.
On return to base, the rescue helicopter was dispatched for a second transfer, this time for a 55-year-old man, also with a cardiac condition.
Both men were flown on rapid response flights to Waikato Hospital for specialist treatment.
