On June 7^th 2018, peacefully and comfortably at Summerset By The Sea, aged 76 years.Dearly loved by her sister Colleen and partner Mel, Brother Everett and wife Phyllis, Brother John and wife Raewyn and much loved Aunt and Great Aunt to her many nephews and nieces all over the world. Loved and respected by many including her ex-husband and friend John Gordon-Kirkby.A special thanks to the Summerset By The Sea, and all those who cared for Ailsa in her last months; you have returned the love and care Ailsa gave to everyone she touched during her nursing life.

A celebration of Ailsa's life will be held at Manukau Memorial Gardens 361 Puhinui Road, Papatoetoe on Thursday 14^th June at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ailsa Thorburn Trust c/- Acorn Foundation, or may be left in the Chapel Foyer
