More museum machinations

So Mr Bridges still craves a museum. That's probably why he's Leader of the Opposition with that mind set and tunnel vision outlook. Roger Rabbits museum assessment (May 4) is pretty well correct.

Councillor Baldock says there was too much misinformation about the museum which was unfair. He is right about that because he was responsible for skewing the referendum terms that were so ludicrous they didn't even specify the obvious option ‘Do you want a TCC ratepayer-funded museum in Tauranga?'

Conclusion reached: no Cliff Road nor Willow Street sites and no ratepayer funding.

Hey, get TECT to give us their Hub monument at the Historic Village which is where any modest museum should be anyway.

The 60/40 vote says it all and can only be interpreted as 12,000 (many of whom do not support ratepayer funding) out of 100,000 potential voters endorsing any museum. You could say 88 per cent did not vote for any sort of museum.

As for the guesstimated 500,000 visitors a year –a joke and as usual will be based on non-existent or pie-in-the-sky business cases with no annual OpEx disclosure. The sods promoting this aberration should be hung out to dry.
