Reports are coming in of traffic delays on State Highway 29a, near Maungatapu.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says traffic is backed up right from the Maungatapu roundabout through to Baypark.
Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on SH20a, near the Maungatapu on-ramp at 6.30am.
A police spokesperson says no one was trapped or injured.
"It's not apparent if it's blocking the road or not but it doesn't sound serious."
Motorists are being warned to expect delays.

Due to road works here were they driving to the conditions? Interesting that most people NOT sticking to 50kmph at Bay Park road works.

It would be quite handy if the time saver traffic report on several radio stations in the morning could tell us about these incidents instead of intoning the same," traffic is heavy coming in on SH29", every single morning.

....bit of a joke really (the traffic report,however helpful it is supposed to be), it is reported so late the situation has usually changed...anyone out there want to sponsor an 'eye in the sky' helicopter to report stuff in 'real' time?
