The son of the president of the Kawerau chapter of the Mongrel Mob is to remain behind bars, following his arrest as part of Operation Notus.

Slobodan Rahoroi Milosevic, 27, is amongst a further 13 people who appeared at Tauranga District Court today for their charges in relation to the operation.

His ruling was met by an emotional response from family members, including his partner and other relatives, who packed out the gallery.

His father Frank Milosevic, will also remain in custody, by consent, until his next appearance, at which point his defence lawyer has indicated he will make a bail application.

Crystal Ohlson, Te Ohorere Milosevic, Nathan Waikato and Aden Ohlson will be remanded on bail until this date and bail is to continue for Tracey Lee Enoka, Irene Raki, Keith Pryor and Raiha Tawera.

All defendants are next set to appear in Tauranga on April 27.

A total of eight defendants have elected a trial by jury, with five having entered not guilty pleas. Seven defendants are yet to enter a plea.
