UPDATED 11.55AM: Traffic is moving slowly past the scene of a crash on Cameron Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash just outside Gate Pa School, near the traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing.

A caller to SunLive says traffic moving towards Greerton was travelling slowly and backed up.

A reporter at the scene says a police officer was in attendance, as was a tow truck.

EARLIER:

Reports are coming in of a crash on Cameron road, near Tauranga Hospital.

Two cars are believed to have crashed on the road, near 21st Ave.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says police are at the scene.

"One person appears to still be in one of the vehicles. Delays are probably likely."
