If you're wanting some family or group bonding time, there are plenty of activities for you.

The 2017 Morehu Day Multicultural Festival church event aims to bring the community together for a fun-filled family day.

From 9am there will be a pohiri at Te Ariki Park to get the celebrations underway.

From there, all day entertainment includes kai, stalls, top town, a live graffiti display, morehu got talent, kids' games and activities, romiromi massages, health stalls, merchandise and cabaret.

The Morehu Day Multicultural Festival will be at the Rangataua Sports and Cultural Club on 450 Maungatapu Road from 9am-4pm.

If that's not for you, maybe watching some thrilling thoroughbred racing is?

Christmas at the Races is on today with many festive activities on during the day.

There will be live music playing between races, loads of free kids' entertainment and plenty of chances to win spot prizes.

The Christmas at the Races event is at Racing Tauranga on 1381 Cameron Road. Gates open at 10.30am and racing runs from 12.30pm-5pm.

Tickets are $10 for Adults general admission and free for under 18-year-olds.
