Two arrested in relation to robbery

Two men have been arrested in relation to the aggravated robbery of Mananui Dairy, in Whakatane.

The 17-year-old and 19-year-old were arrested this afternoon after search warrants were carried out at addresses linked to the robbery.

Items suspected of being used in the robbery were located along with drugs and a firearm.

The men will appear in the Whakatane District Court tomorrow.

"This is the result of a thorough investigation that was greatly assisted by our community providing information and support," says Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Standen.

They will get six months home detention - and be free to carry on their CRIMINAL activity while on home detention - OH cannot leave home - just open up a tinny house from your home !!May I suggest THREE YEARS JAIL - and NO early parole.

Cut the out of control taxes on tobacco and this would never have happened (prohibition at work AGAIN) Let them smoke themselves to death of their own free will.The result of the government saving people from voluntary acts of stupidity is to fill the world with fools.
