UPDATED: The trailer of a truck has flipped after a truck and trailer unit crashed with a train.
Emergency services were called to the crash on the Collins Lane railway crossing in Te Puke around 11.30am.
A police spokesperson says the truck driver was uninjured but the truck rolled.
"The commercial vehicle investigation unit has been advised and will attend the crash."

Reports are coming in of a crash involving a truck and train near Te Puke.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a truck and train have crashed near Collins Lane.
The caller says the driver of the truck is out of the cab and being attended to by St John Paramedics.

It's Rail Safety Week folks if the sign at Te Maunga is to be believed. Watch out for trains look both ways. May be a bit late for this guy!!! Hard way to learn and very lucky.

..the obvious (perhaps not so for some), that trains are unable to swerve or stop quickly to avoid hitting you. What reason for the incident this time? Also realise that these incidents also negatively affect the locomotive engineer.

There is a huge area on left and right surely he must have seen a blinkin big train for gods sake,BUT apparently not, also there is (OR was ) a BIG STOP SIGN )there on both sides,be interesting what the out come is, ive travelled over that line 100 times in 3yrs carting fruit in and out, and stopped everytime, something has gone terribly wrong here,immmmm,as you can see in the pictures,my gosh,anyway Thankyou Sunlive,10-4 out.
