Hangar 18 coming to Totara Street

Kiwi band Hangar 18 is coming to Totara Street at the end of this month, as the second stop on their Asia-Pacific Region tour.

The tour comes off the back of the release of their new single ‘IDKY', which has already been added to radio playlists around the world.

The single was written by Hangar 18 in collaboration with award-winning recording artist Jason Kerrison, best known as the frontman for fellow New Zealand band Opshop.

Hangar 18 will start their tour in Mangawhai on July 14, before coming to Mount Maunganui on July 28.

On October 1 they will play concert support for American rock band Everclear at The Powerstation in Auckland, before opening for the band in three Australian shows.

The third leg of the tour will take Hangar 18 back to Asia, 20 years since they last visited in 1997.

Several shows will take place at various venues in Manila, followed by one off-exclusive shows in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Special guest guitarist Brendon Thomas will also joining Hangar 18 on the tour. One of New Zealand's best guitar players, well known from the success of his band, Brendon Thomas and the Vibes, as well as The Rubics and The Free Wind.

Hangar 18 have toured throughout their career including performing with No Doubt, Collective Soul, Ocean Colour Scene, Silverchair, Everclear, as well as The Unity Hong Kong Handover Concert, Sweetwaters & Mountain Rock Festivals, and many other events.

The Totara Street performance will be $10 on the door only.
