Police can now confirm the body found in a Thames forest is that of a woman who went missing in the area in January.

The body of 56-year-old Ann Louise Bunning was found near Te Puru Forks, Thames, on Wednesday, April 26.

Police say she was last seen at the Te Puru Holiday Park on January 30.

'Police's thoughts are with her family and friends.

'Her death has been referred to the Coroner.”
