One person has died and another is seriously injured following a crash with a train and car.
Emergency services were called to the fatal crash on State Highway 26, near Morrinsville, yesterday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened at about 3.20pm at the Piako Road/State Highway 26.
The road was closed for several hours are police investigated the scene.
People with information about the crash, and who haven't already spoken with police, are asked to contact their nearest police station.
