Waipuna Hospice's Trish Rae says she's happy with the way the event went.
'The day has been good; we've had the five piece Dixie band putting people in a happy, jovial mood. The lions have been running a barbecue and we've had coffee and ice cream as well.”
Trish says it's great to be able to host the cup and raise awareness of what they do at the same time.
'It's about getting more people to our second hand store on Fraser Street It's a chance for us to raise the profile of hospice and the work we do. Alerting people to where we are and to pop if they want a bit of retail therapy.”

People of all ages came to the hospice to see the cup.

Tauranga Dixie band entertained the visitors.
Trish says they rely on the shop to raise funds and people wanting to drop goods off to help them raise money, can do at anytime.
'We are always looking for donation of goods. People can drop them at our depot on Brook Street or if they don't have transport or its too heavy, then they can call us and we will pick it up with our shop van.”
