Waikato ram raiders arrested

Four teenagers have been arrested following a spate of aggravated robberies and ram raids across the Waikato recently.

Armed police raided a number of Hamilton and Ngaruawahia properties this morning as part of 'Operation Overflow'.

Stolen vehicles and property, firearms, and a cannabis growing room were found.

Three teens, aged 14-16, will face charges in the Hamilton District Youth Court relating to aggravated robbery, burglary, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and participating in an organised criminal group.

An 18-year-old man is facing charges of burglary, participating in an organised criminal group, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen goods. One other youth will be referred to Youth Aid.

The group are alleged to have robbed three Hamilton dairies in February as well as being involved in two ram raids at Stirling Sports Te Awamutu on January 19 and February 27 and another at the Mobil petrol station in Huntly on February 22.

Detective Sergeant Terri Wilson of the Hamilton CIB says the arrests are "great result."

She says police will be working hard to reunite owners with stolen property in the coming weeks.

Mmm....will you still be saying that when the so called Justice System slaps these scum with a wet bus ticket because they are "youths"? The reality is that they will be back terrorising people very soon. No hopers, no way back, they just need eliminating. Wake up.
