A cyclist has been taken to Tauranga Hospital with leg injuries after being involved in a crash on a 100km/h stretch of road.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Te Puke Highway, near Poplar Lane, around 6.30am.
A police spokesperson says the cyclist was involved in a crash with a crash on the highway.
'The cyclist has suffered status three leg injuries and has been taken to hospital.”
Police are investigating the crash.
