A young boy and his family now have one holiday memory they probably would like to forget.
The Auckland Rescue Helicopter was called out to Papa Aroha on the Coromandel Peninsula's west coast, after a 10-year-old boy tripped and fell through a plate glass window on Tuesday.
ARHT spokesperson Kerrie Spicer says the trust's Mechanics Bay crew was dispatched to the incident at 10.40am.
'The crew landed in a paddock to treat him and flew him to Starship Hospital in a moderate condition suffering lacerations.
The Papa Aroha mission was one of five incidents attended by the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust on Tuesday.
