Residents in Brookfield might notice dirty-looking water this morning.
This after Tauranga City Council had to do an emergency shutdown due to a broken water main yesterday.
'If you run an outside tap for about five minutes it should clear,” says a council communications spokesperson.
'The dirty colour comes from natural minerals that have built up in the water pipes.
'We had to perform an emergency shutdown yesterday to repair a broken water main, so a large amount of water surged through the system, dislodging the minerals.”
If the water doesn't clear, people are advised to contact Tauranga City Council on 577 7000.
