Scandal swept the Bay of Plenty this morning with shock headlines, like the one above, in a well-known daily newspaper, reports Not the News.

Recently disgraced journalists from the UK are believed to have fled to New Zealand and settled in Tauranga.

Our special correspondent Cliff Edge spoke to one of them today to find out what he would bring to local journalism.

CE – You really are a nasty bastard aren't you?

IA – Yeah. And I know where you live mate.

CE – How?

IA – I've been hacking your phone

CE - Bugger. I should have known.
