ACC has confirmed a bomb threat was made to one of its sites in Tauranga earlier today.
A spokesperson for the New Zealand Crown entity says staff were evacuated from the Grey Street building after the threat was received at about 2pm.
At this stage it is unknown if the building is still currently evacuated.

It's painfully obvious that some people don't understand the difference between a right and a privilege. If they don't get what THEY think they should get (rather than what the Law says they are entitled to...) they believe someone is out to get them and they react out of frustration. It's like shooting the messenger; serves no useful purpose but may make you feel better. The penalties for people who take this kind of action need to be strong and enforced.
