Police have today arrested and charged a 59 year-old man in relation to possession for supply of methamphetamine.
The accused is a senior member of the Head Hunters Gang in Auckland.
Detectives from the Auckland Organised Crime Unit carried out a search warrant at the Head Hunters headquarters in View Road, Henderson yesterday morning.
The man was not found but contact was made with him and he presented himself this morning to the Auckland Central Police Station.
The 59 year-old man has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for Supply and will reappear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow morning.
The charges relate to a search warrant that Police carried out at a motel in the Christchurch suburb of Sockburn, in early March.
Police will continue to target organised crime groups in the fight against the supply and distribution of methamphetamine throughout New Zealand.
