On 7 April 2016, suddenly at his home in Tauranga, aged 85 years. Most dearly loved husband of Bev for over 60 years. Treasured Dad of Chris and John, Jill and Bryce, Kay and Mike, Lynley, Sharron and Bill, Brent and Monique. Adored Poppies to Emma, Campbell, Kelly and Phil, Joshua and Amelia, Sacha, Caleb, Matthew and Charlotte, Rebecca, Jordyn and Jordan, Scott, James, Chloe, Liam, Chelsea and Spencer, and great grandson Harrison. ‘God has you in his keeping, and we have you in our hearts to treasure forever'. A service to celebrate Merv's life will be held at Tauranga Park, 383 Pyes Pa Rd Tauranga, on Tuesday 12 April at 11am, followed by family burial in Te Awamutu Cemetery.
