Tauranga Girls College A lost the final of the 48^th Secondary School National Championships Volleyball against Burnside High School in Palmerston North last week, 1-3. Burnside were the defending champions.

Whakatane High School A landed in eighth place, having lost their play-off to Waimea College Gold A. Tridents High School Blue made 11^th place.

For the boys Otumoetai College A made third, Tauranga Boys A 5^th, Trident High School A 7th, and Tauranga Boys B 14^th. Westlake Boys High School from Auckland won and they beat Otumoetai in the semis 3-0, and Manurewa High School 3-0 in the final.
