Tauranga Lotto player wins $12,000

A Tauranga Lotto player is more than $12,000 richer after striking Lotto Second Division last night.

The winner is one of 23 Lotto players who have started the New Year with a head start on some of their resolutions after winning $12,407 with Lotto Second Division.

The lucky ticket was bought at Greerton Lotto. A ticket was also bought in Rotorua's Paper Plus Central and Countdown Tokoroa.

Two players also collected a Powerball Second Division prize of $3,871, taking their total winnings to $16,278. The winning Powerball tickets were sold at Countdown Tokoroa and on MyLotto to a player from Auckland.

Lotto's Triple Dip Christmas promotion with 200 extra prizes up for grabs was also drawn last night. Full results are available on MyLotto.co.nz.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of these winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through Lotto NZ's ticket-checker smartphone app.
