A Lotto player from New Plymouth has won the top prize in Lotto's Triple Dip Christmas promotion, taking home $1 million.

Powerball and Strike have both rolled over, meaning there is a combined prize pool of $6.2 million up for grabs on Wednesday.

Powerball First Division will be $5 million, Lotto First Division will be $1 million and Strike Four will be an estimated $200,000.

Lotto's Triple Dip Christmas promotion with 200 extra prizes was also drawn last night, with a player from New Plymouth winning the top prize of $1 million.

Meanwhile a Lotto player from Lower Hutt won $7.5 million with Powerball on Wednesday's draw. The winning ticket was sold at Pak N Save Lower Hutt and the winner is yet to claim their prize.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.
