Good morning Sunners, if you're like me you've eaten far too much and over enjoyed the festive activities. Also there are probably one or two of you who have overindulged at yesterday's Boxing Day specials.

So if you are looking to burn off a few calories and do something a little more healthier then maybe take part in today's Eves Triathlon.

The Eves-sponsored event attracts competitors throughout Bay of Plenty to compete in the sprint distance – a 750m swim, 16km bike and 5km run – and the super sprint distance of 375m swim, 8km bike and 2.5km run.

Activities get underway at 5am and runs until 12pm, at Marine Parade from Adams Avenue to Pacific Avenue. Be aware those who are coming to watch there are some road closures in place so get there early so you have time to see all the action.
