BOP has annexed the Waikato; therefore Waikato accidents are counted as BOP accidents so BOP gets more NZTA funding.
How about this view

The accident happened behind me near tokoroa. I never saw what happened however I did notice many ridiculously slow drivers, drivers following close and dangerous passing techniques. How can these people be educated toward safe driving?
useless police

It would be helpful if there were police doing their job. I had to goto Waikawau in the coromandel from Tga and back on Christmas eve for work related stuff, I saw a total of 2 police cars. 1 empty one parked all day outside of Thames, and another parked next to a speed camera on the passing lane between Aongatete rd and Morton rd.
Yes, Police NOT doing there Job

I agree By Mattbz, On Christmas afternoon Rotorua to Whakatane Highway, 2 Police Cars out for a Christmas afternoon drive, passed a boat on a trailer with a Rego showing 10/2011, tail lights dangling, no indicator and another car towing a trailer with NO Rego plate at all showing. Cops did not pull the vehicles up so, I'm left thinking there must be more brownie points for the officer by pulling up only speeding drivers ????????

Unconfident and incompetent drivers everywhere on the roads. They are just as dangerous as drunk/drugged drivers. Some older people should be made to take another driving test.
