A former Ruatoki man has taken his love of the Star Wars movies to another level by combining his 10th wedding anniversary with a trip to see the latests Star Wars instalment, The Force Awakens.
Generally speaking, many women would lament a trip to the movies to watch the new Star Wars filmon their wedding anniversary.

But luckily for Wairere Iti, the son of Maori activist and artist Tame Iti, his wife Reina Webster-Iti gladly accepted the invitation to see the blockbuster with her husband along with a group of his mates.
Wairere, who admits his wife "isn't really a fan" of the films, formulated a plan, enlisting the creative talents of his daughter Maia and son Atticus to make the 10-year milestone truly unforgettable.
The trio created their very own Star Wars-themed video (see below) as a tribute to their beloved wife and mum.
Much to Wairere's surprise, Rialto Cinemas Newmarket allowed him to play the short clip before the private screening of the film, leaving her speechless and no doubt blown away.
The father-of-two later shared the experience on his Facebook page, writing: "Imagine it's your 10th wedding anniversary and your husband asks you to go to a private Star Wars screening on the same night, with all of his workmates and some clients... yep that's what I did... but Reina said yes despite not really being a fan," he wrote.
"So, to try and make her feel special... The kids and I made her a movie which only a handful of people knew about...and the theatre played it on the big screen just before the main event.
'So... Imagine you have come to see the new Star Wars film...the lights go down... you are soooo excited.... and this comes up. #IHateEwoks."
"To Reina - the best wife in the galaxy, Happy 10th Anniversary" he wrote.
His father Tame also was impressed with his son's endeavour posting on his Facebook page, 'the force is strong with this one… I knew there were Tuhoe Jedi's. Too cool Wairere and your cool as kids.”
