Two days left for tenders: TCDC

There's only two day's left to submit a tender to buy a large Thames-Coromandel District Council-owned property in the heart of Whangamata's commercial/industrial zone.

Area manager Garry Towler says there's already been a substantial amount of interest in the property located at 107 Lindsay Road, with tenders closing on Wednesday, November 18.

The partially fenced site measures 2,256m2, is level, has several concrete pads, road frontage and a three metre easement on the south-west boundary for the right to drain water.

It is zoned for industrial use in the both the Operative and Proposed District Plan, says Garry.

'It's a very large site and has good access. Since the period to submit tenders opened about a month ago, there has been a great deal of interest in the property.”

The site has been owned by council for a long time and leased to various people over the years, but is now vacant and is no longer needed for council purposes.

The property has been listed on Trade Me and is being sold by tender with a close date of Wednesday, November 18.
