What’s on Today? Swimming

Swimmers will be showing off their skills as they vye for provincial honours as part of the Bay of Plenty Swimming's Short Course Championships.

Hosted at Mount Maunganui's Baywave, the competition will see swimmers divided into Under 12, 13 and 14 age brackets to compete in distances spanning from 50m to 1500m.

Today swimmers are making a splash in the 200m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle, 100m backstroke and 200m butterfly.

There is also the 200m medley relays and 1500m freestyle for the fastest 10 qualifiers in both boys' and girls' divisions.

Sunday sees the 400m freestyle, 100m butterfly and breaststroke, 200m backstroke and 100m freestyle.
