Timber thieves hit TEL

Around 60 lengths of timber have been stolen from the Tauranga Eastern Link site overnight.

The 4.8m long tongue and groove was taken from the project site near the corner of the Papamoa highway and Kairua Rd.


Around 60 lengths of timber have been stolen from the TEL site.

'This would have most likely require at least two people to shift the timber and a large trailer or truck to remove it from the site,” says a statement from police.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact Papamoa Police Station on: 572 2440.
